CenturyLink provides basic layers of security in the modems we provide. These features are included in your modem’s firmware.

Cybersecurity is constantly evolving to keep ahead of cyber criminals. As a result, the Secure WiFi service must also update to provide the necessary protection. Unfortunately, CenturyLink modems no longer have the ability to support these updates. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of losing this valued service.

Secure WiFi will no longer be accessible on your modem on the date referenced in the email you received.

Secure WiFi is different than your WiFi network. You can still connect devices wirelessly and access the internet as usual.

Your monthly bill will not change since Secure WiFi was included with your modem lease.

You don't need to do anything. Your internet service will continue uninterrupted. 

While CenturyLink does not have a replacement service for Secure WiFi at this time, there are similar programs on the market.
