Self-Healing Network Services (SHNS)
Course Description
This self-directed, web-based course provides you with knowledge
of the Qwest Self-Healing Network Services (SHNS) product.
Qwest's Self-Healing Network Services is a high capacity fiber
optic ring-based network that provides a dedicated customized
system of protection for businesses with multiple locations
in the same local access transport area or LATA.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of this training course, you will be able to:
- Describe the Self-Healing Network Service (SHNS)
- Explain the standard and optional features of SHNS
- Describe SHNS configurations
- Identify SHNS hardware and software requirements
- Identify the capacities and interfaces required for SHNS
Prerequisites
Audience
The target audience for the training is primarily CLECs and External Customers,
but the training is available to anyone that would like an overview
of the subject. We believe this training will assist you in gaining
a better understanding of the product and processes, and will
allow you to be more effective in working with the Qwest Sales
and Service Team.
