The diagram (above) shows how LIS Trunking enables the exchange of Local Extended Area Service (EAS) traffic.
- The call originates at the end user in Telephone A and travels to the CLEC. From the CLEC, the call travels to the CenturyLink Serving Wire Center (SWC) through the use of an Interconnection Facility (You will learn more about Interconnection Facilities later).
