PBIT Priority Bit

A parameter within the Ethernet Layer 2 Network Protocol frame that specifies priority by mapping to a given level of service on an EVC Ethernet Virtual Connection/OVC Operator Virtual Connection.

NOTE 1: This field is referred to as Priority Code Point (PCP) in MEF Metro Ethernet Forum 23.1.
