Description Of Change
As a standard practice with each CABS BOS version change, customers are sent test data 30 days prior to the change in production. The test data is sent either via NDM or tape cartridge (for those customers not set up for NDM).

Due to elimination of tape production, IABS will not longer be able to provide the test data for the CABS BOS version changes in a tape cartridge. Tape will not be offered to customers effective with CABS BOS Version 47, which will be implemented 3rd QTR 2007. In place of tape, customers will be provided the option to download the test data from web via Qwest’s QPID. Production data can currently be downloaded from the web via Qwest’s QPID.

Peggy also noted that the CR now has 2 Phases. Phase 1 is to remove references to the magtape in PCAT, and is effective April 6, 2007. Phase 2 is to provide test data via QPID (production already utilizes QPID) and is targeted for September 15, 2007. Mark Coyne-Qwest stated that the Process piece of this CR is effective April 6th and that the systems portion would then be implemented in September.
