Fraud Protection - V10.0
Product Description
Fraud Protection is unique to Public Access Lines (PAL). For information regarding Resale - Public Access Line (PAL) Service.
There are three types of Fraud Protection which include:
- In Fraud Protection will not allow collect and third number calls to be billed to the PAL service.
- Out Fraud Protection restricts operator assisted long distance calls to collect, bill to third party, and calling card calls.
- In and Out Fraud Protection will not allow collect and third party numbers billed to the PAL Service and restricts operator assisted long distance to collect, bill to third party and calling card calls.
Fraud Protection features are available with PAL Service dependent on individual state offerings.
Fraud Protection by itself does not block 1+ dialing. Based on the blocking option chosen, you can choose to block or not to block 1+ dialing. If you choose not to block 1+ dialing, you will be responsible for any 1+ charges incurred.

- Pay Per Call Restriction
Fraud Protection is available where facilities exist throughout CenturyLink QC.

Rate Structure
Fraud Protection may have a recurring and a nonrecurring charge based on state specific Tariffs/Catalogs/Price Lists.

Rates and/or discounts are available in Exhibit A or the specific rate sheet in your Interconnection or Resale Agreement.

Additional entries are applicable that must be included on the Resale Services (RS) Form. These identify the type of blocking that is being requested on a telephone number. Detailed information on field entry requirements can be found in the Local Service Ordering Guidelines (LSOG). Click on Resale Services (RS), then scroll to the BLOCK field to determine the correct entries for the appropriate blocking.
Feature Activity Types (Action Codes)
The valid Feature Activity Types are:
- D = Disconnect
- N = Add
NOTE: When changing from one feature to another, use N and D Feature Activity Types.
Fraud protection is available through intrastate and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) interstate tariff offerings. Though USOCs and rates differ by tariff, the functionality provided is identical. Use either the intrastate or interstate USOC to request Fraud Protection.
