Yes. The Basic Package does require a device called an ATA that plugs into a power outlet and an ethernet port on the modem, residential gateway, or service box. Your phone then plugs into the ATA. If you need multiple phones in different areas around your home or office, you may want to consider a base station and wireless phones as a solution.
No. The Professional package requires an IP phone, purchased through CenturyLink, that connects directly to your internet.
Yes. You will have the option to transfer your current number if it is not a CenturyLink number. When you are porting a number, once the order is submitted you will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the transfer process.
Electrical power is required for Connected Voice to work. If there is a power outage, digital service will not process calls, including Emergency 911. A battery backup is recommended and available for purchase.
